A payout is the transfer of funds from your Stripe account balance to your linked business bank account. After you successfully charge a customer, the funds are held in your Stripe account. Depending on your payout schedule, Stripe will then automatically transfer these funds to you. This process is also sometimes referred to as a “settlement” or “transfer.”
