Batch processing (or “batching”) is the process of collecting all the approved card transactions from a single day into a group, or “batch,” and sending them to the payment processor for settlement in one go. This is usually done automatically at a set time each day, often called the “batch-out” or “settlement” time.
Frequently Asked questions (FAQs)
- Do I need to manually batch my transactions with Charge for Stripe?
No. Stripe automatically handles batching and settlement for you. At the end of each day, all of your authorized transactions are automatically submitted for settlement. - Can I see my daily batches?
While Stripe’s system is highly automated, you can view groups of transactions that were settled together in the reporting sections of your Stripe Dashboard. - What happens if I need to cancel a transaction before the batch is sent?
This is when you would perform a void. If you catch a mistake before the daily batch is processed, you can void the transaction to cancel it completely.
